Upon seeing the Fall 2008 Ready to Wear Collection one can no doubly see some key influences from the past reemerging into the current looks being shown.

The incomparable Galliano seems to have taken great inspiration from a controversial time in history: the 1960's. The conservative, ladylike and downright proper styles
were reminiscent of Jackie Kennedy. The boxy jackets and the oversize sunglasses were some of her trademarkrk styles that made her a fashion icon.

The 1960's were a time of dynamic social changes, and the fashions from that time are now considered classics. This included pleated and pencil skirts worn often with cardigan sweaters, A line dresses, bouffant hair, matching shell shirts and a slim belt nipped in the waist.
