New York Fashion Week- Foreign Designer

Kai Kuhne Ready-to-wear Spring 2008
Shown September 10, 2008

With so many talented designers originally from other countries showing this year, it was difficult choosing one. Kai Kune showed an amazing collection of 38 looks. He was born in Germany in 1972. After high school, he studied fashion design and business at The Academy of Fashion and Design in Hamburg Germany. Several years later he moved to New York and attended The School of Visual Arts, where he studied fashion photography and art history. What sets Kai apart from other designers is his focus on avant-garde flair mixed with classical designs that creates a very modern and sophisticated look. His line will undoubtedly sell, with its mix of stunning classic lines and modern silhouettes. Small boutiques that cater to the quirky and fashion forward woman will have no problem adding anything from this collection to their inventory for upcoming seasons.
