Holographic Visions

Iridescent holographic hues are still the hottest trend in fashion at the moment, they can be seen everywhere from clothing, accessories and even down to nail polish. It has a magical quality, and can be seen as somewhat confusing how to work into your wardrobe. Part of the 1990's revival fashion is currently experiencing, every fashionista has gravitated to this groovy trend. However this time around things are a bit more refined, rather than the kitsch of yesteryear.
This space age trend is actually part sci-fi as the surface appears to change colors as the angel of view changes. Statement pieces such as holographic bags, shoes and jackets are items that early adopters such as Anna Dello Russo were spotted wearing that really ignited this trend.
Designers such as Stella McCartney, Lanvin, 3.1 Philip Lim, Burberry Prorsum and countless others began infusing the futuristic color into everything from structured tops, pencil skirts and technology accessories such as ipad cases.
Holographic items instantly give a glistening effect and can be worn with more solid or muted pieces for a toned down look, or amped up in a full dress or  matching separates to make a sparkly statement. A transparent garment such as a loose structured top or coat can act as a layering piece with unlimited options to layer upon. High-sheen fabrications are the newest addition to the trend juxtaposed with classic fabrics and silhouettes. Accessories such as envelope clutches and ballet flats are easy ways to dip your toes in this futuristic trend without fear of over committing.
Want a more sleek and current look rather than standby metallics? Holographic and iridescent pieces, weather bold, minimalist, or complete head to toe looks will always be eye catching.
